Cycling to BRIEF

Secure Bike parking has got easier and easier around BRIEF. There are 7 official places to try first where the City Corporation has installed good and secure stands in the street.

Bartholomew Close
Probably the nearest parking to BRIEF but also the least over looked. This rack is in a quiet Close. Turn left out of BRIEF. Left again at Kinghorn Street and immediately right into Bartholomew Close. The bike rack is on your right. There are also some good railings behind the rack.

Barbican tube 1 & 2 & 3
Turn right out of BRIEF. Left at the end of Newbury Street and right into Long Lane. Go up to the first cross roads and turn left into Aldersgate. The first rack is on the south-west side of the intersection. The second rack is on the far side of the street opposite Barbican tube. The third is a little further up Aldersgate. Useful railings right outside the tube.

Long Lane
Turn left out of BRIEF and right at the end of the street into Kinghorn Street. Cross over in front of you and under the flying freehold – otherwise Ye Olde Red Cow. Through into Long Lane you then turn left and the rack is on the far side of the road on the corner of Smithfield Market.

West Smithfield
Left out of the BRIEF, right into Kinghorn Street and then left into Cloth Fair. You will pass Great St. Bartholomew’s Church on your left with its useful railings and at the end of Cloth Fair you will reach West Smithfield. Rotating to your left round the square you will find the rack.

Giltspur Street
Left out of the BRIEF, right into Kinghorn Street and then left into Cloth Fair. You will pass Great St. Bartholomew’s Church on your left with its very tempting, and useful, railings and at the end of Cloth Fair you will reach West Smithfield. Rotating to your left round the square and turning left into Giltspur Street you will find the rack on the East side of the road.
