The Centre for Solution Focused Practice

Courses in Cardiff

BRIEF will be offering four 2-day SF training modules in Wales, in Cardiff, between October 2018 and April 2019. This marks the enormous growth in interest in Solution Focus throughout Wales in both children, family and adult services, in which BRIEF has been delighted (and proud) to have played a part.

The programme will start in October 2018 and will complete in April 2019.

The dates are as follows:

  • October 24 & 25: Foundation Programme for those new to the approach with Harvey Ratner
  • November 22 & 23: Staying Brief with Harvey Ratner
  • January 24 & 25: Staying Brief with Evan George
  • April 04 & 05: Staying Brief with Evan George

All these modules will take place in Cardiff and the venue will be in Cardiff University.

The first module is a Foundation module whilst the others will build skills and familiarity and can either be taken as a programme or can be ‘purchased’ individually. For those of you who want to apply for the BRIEF Certificate in SF Practice 8 days of training on BRIEF courses is required. If you have completed 2 days already you could join the second module, if you have completed four days the third and so on.

There will be reading made available to you before and after each of the modules to support your exploration of this way of working and there will be web-based support.

The cost of each module is £275.00 + VAT (330.00). If you or your organisation book and pay for all four modules together there will be a discount of £100.00.

What else? an infinitely various question

Recently Evan sought to justify just why ‘what else?’ is such a useful question in the Solution Focused approach whilst here Chris invites us to appreciate the infinite variety and difference within what might appear to be the same two words ‘what else?’.
